Privacy policy
Contact Bridge for macOS. Last updated October 25, 2026.
Contact Bridge is a Mac app that syncs your iCloud contacts to your Google account. It runs entirely on your Mac. There is no Contact Bridge server, and the developer never receives your contacts or any other data from the app.
Data the app accesses
- Your Mac's contacts, through macOS Contacts, including notes, which are read and written through the Contacts app.
- Your Google Contacts, through the Google People API, using the
contactsandcontacts.other.readonlypermissions. The app reads your contacts and "other contacts" to compare them with iCloud, and creates, updates or deletes Google contacts to keep the two in sync. - Your Google account email address, using the
userinfo.emailpermission, only to show which account is connected.
Where data is stored
- Your Google sign-in token is stored in the macOS Keychain on your Mac.
- Sync state, contact backups and a log of the changes made in Google are stored in the app's Application Support folder on your Mac. Sync logs are kept for 30 days.
- Nothing is stored anywhere else. The app has no analytics, tracking or advertising.
Sharing
Contact Bridge does not sell, share or transfer your data to anyone. Data from Google is sent only between your Mac and Google's servers, to carry out the sync you ask for.
Google API Services
Contact Bridge's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Removing your data
You can sign out of Google in the app's Setup screen, which deletes the stored token and revokes the app's access. You can also remove access at any time from your Google account permissions. Deleting the app and its Application Support folder removes everything it stored.
